Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you use this website and when you engage us to carry out tree work.

Last updated 10 August 2026

About these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and the tree care services we provide. Booking work with us means you accept them. Where a signed written contract or work order covers the same subject, that document takes precedence.

Estimates and quotes

On-site estimates are free within our service area and carry no obligation. We do not publish figures on this website, because size, access, what sits beneath a tree and the condition of the wood change the job completely. Every quote is issued in writing after an arborist has seen the tree.

Written quotes are valid for 30 days and are fixed for the scope described, not hourly rates. What you agreed changes only if the scope changes. That happens when work is added at your request, or when a condition that could not reasonably be seen from the ground is discovered, such as internal decay that makes a planned climb unsafe. In that situation we stop, explain the position and agree a revised scope with you in writing before continuing.

Scheduling

Work is scheduled by date rather than by a precise hour, because tree work is weather-dependent and a job can run long. We will contact you if the arrival window moves. We may reschedule for high wind, lightning or saturated ground, all of which make the work genuinely unsafe.

Emergency call-outs are dispatched as fast as crew availability allows. After a widespread storm we prioritise by severity, taking trees on structures and blocked access ahead of yard debris.

Your responsibilities

  • Confirm you own the property or have the owner authority to have the work done
  • Provide access on the agreed date, including gate keys or codes
  • Move vehicles, garden furniture, pots and anything else fragile from the work area
  • Tell us about septic systems, irrigation, invisible fencing, low-voltage lighting and any other buried services
  • Keep people and pets out of the work zone while the crew is on site

Permits

Where a permit is required we will identify that and, if you ask us to, prepare and file the application. Permit fees are charged at cost. We cannot guarantee that any authority will approve an application, and we are not liable for delays caused by a permitting process.

Utilities and power lines

We do not work on or near energised conductors. Where a tree is in contact with a power line we will require the utility to de-energise or clear it first. We place a locate request before any stump grinding, but public locates do not cover private irrigation, lighting or invisible fencing, and you remain responsible for identifying those.

Insurance and liability

We carry general liability and workers compensation insurance and will provide a certificate on request. We are responsible for damage caused by our negligence.

Some effects are inherent to the work rather than negligent, and we are not liable for them: minor turf marking where equipment must cross soft ground, incidental damage to plantings directly beneath a tree being worked, or the failure of a tree or limb we were not engaged to inspect or treat.

Payment

Residential work is due on completion unless agreed otherwise. Larger projects may require a deposit, which will be stated in the quote. Commercial and HOA contracts are invoiced on their agreed schedule. Overdue balances accrue interest at 1.5% per month.

Cancellation

You can cancel or reschedule at no charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled date. Inside 48 hours we may charge a mobilisation fee reflecting crew time already committed. Cancelling after a crew has arrived on site may incur the full call-out charge.

Tree health outcomes

Trees are living organisms in an environment we do not control. We apply recognised standards and current best practice, but we cannot guarantee that a treated tree will survive, that a cabled tree will not fail, or that a pruned tree will not lose a limb in an extreme event. Risk mitigation reduces likelihood. It does not eliminate risk, and any company promising otherwise is overselling.

Website content

Content on this site is general information about tree care in Central Texas, not a professional assessment of your specific tree. No figures are quoted on this site. Only a written estimate or arborist report constitutes advice you should rely on.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute falls to the courts of Travis County, Texas.
